Lodging

Raz is coordinating what will probably be two airbnbs in the Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore - a larger one with plenty of space for guests to hang out and game, and a smaller one focused on having quiet bedrooms. If interested in staying at either, DM Raz. Pricing will be based on ability to pay.

If you'd prefer to avoid the shared lodging and want the privacy of a hotel, there are many in the area; best current value seems to be the Hyatt Place.

Already in Baltimore? Want to get in Wednesday night* or early Thursday? Raz and all who are interested will be going to see the Orioles take on the Pirates Thursday at 1:05 PM. 

Let Raz know if interested and he can coordinate buying tickets.

* Note: we are not planning to have shared lodging available Wednesday night the 10th, though large demand could change that.

There are lots of companies that will take you out on the harbor for an hour or two. This one is cheap and lets you BYOB.

 

Jet Lag: The Game

Raz's favorite travel-based YouTube game show put out a home game and he'd like some folks to play it with. For an idea of what this might be like, watch the two newest episodes, "Hide and Seek Across NYC". We'd take the train over to DC and play there since the game requires a robust transit system. It would probably take most of one day's daylight hours.

 

Small Press Expo

Dax sez: "its a big hotel ballroom full of artists and independent comix nerds, its great". excellent place to pick up art and comics. Happening Sat/Sun in Bethesda.

 

Skeet Shooting

Inspired by Dax playing Time Crisis II on PS2, Duck wonders if we might go do some skeet shooting. This place is about a half-hour north of DaxCon lodging.
